Summer Fun in Minnesota

Minnesotans are very adventurous especially with their summer months. Everything must be well planned out to take advantage of all the great events around where we live so here’s a list of some of our favorites to help you get started.
Taste of Minnesota in Minneapolis
Enjoy a large-scale festival atmosphere at the Taste of Minnesota. Taking place July 5th & 6th, this grand event includes live music & entertainment on 3 different stages, loads of mouthwatering cuisine, unique local businesses, giant inflatables and even a puppy party.
Wild Nights
Conservation Rocks at the Minnesota Zoo!
Wild Nights are back at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley! This summer grab your crew to experience an evening that's sure to impress! Explore and enjoy a unique festival style evening filled with vibrant local music, artisan vendors, food, drink, and access to your favorite trails and habitats. Also, visit the zoo while you are there!
Minnesota Twins Game
Nothing more needs to be said about this night out. It is self-explanatory. Everybody enjoys a Minnesota Twins game at Target Field.
Local Town Festival Weekends
Many local towns have an area wide celebration weekend that feature various events, food trucks, local artists and entertainment as well as plenty of activities for the kids and grownups alike. Check out Minnetonka, St. Michael, Andover, Ramsey, Cottage Grove, Buffalo, and many other towns.
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska
Soak up spring at the beautiful Minnesota Landscape Arboretum while shopping from up to 60 local artists and artisans select weekends in May. Enjoy live music and food and beverage for purchase as you check out your favorite makers from past years and discover new ones. Markets will be in the Scarecrow Hill area and will be open rain or shine.
Shakopee Offers “Rhythm on the Rails”
Rhythm on the Rails is a FREE, six-week outdoor concert series, that takes place on Wednesday nights in June and July. Each nightly concert runs from 6:00-9:00 pm on Lewis Street in Downtown Shakopee. Our annual Rhythm on the Rails features top-notch live music, family fun & games, food & dessert vendors, and so much more!
Como Park in St. Paul
Come experience a variety of summer activities at Como Park, including free access to the Como Zoo Conservatory. Groovin' in the Garden offers free outdoor concerts and activities. The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory hosts the Summer Flower Show, and the Como Regional Park Pool is open for the summer season.
No matter which of these you have selected, the day needs to end with ice cream. Whether you choose your favorite local shop or the trendiest new food truck, summer calls for ice cream.
